I totally agree about bringing your phone with you shopping to take pictures and send them to your friends, I wrote about that too! I think that is a good idea that Starbucks has apps, my client doesn’t but many they will jump on the bandwagon soon.

Mobile Apps

I agree with you I do not usually compare prices at the stores that I shop at. I shop at the same stores most of the time. I only compare price when I am buying a gift for someone else that I am not familiar with.

Topic of the week: Shopping with your phone

I do not go anywhere without my phone.  I would not say that I am attached to my phone it is more of a precaution.  I do not want to run out of gas, get in a car accident and not be able to call anyone for help.  In a store setting I would not want to get locked in a room without my phone.  I guess you could call me cautious.  But you can’t go shopping without your phone for the simple reason that if you forget something or your shopping list was not specific enough you can call someone and get clarity on it.  If you are clothes shopping alone you might need a friend’s advice on an outfit so you have to send them a picture.  So I would fall under the category of “Messaging/emailing a friend.”  My client does not have an app store, people would use their cellphones in the Georgia Aquarium to take pictures more than anything.

Moms and Social Media

Yea I always find it awkward when older mothers are on social media. I think that Pepsi could target Diet Pepsi to Moms. I know that all the soda that my mom drinks is diet, but I am not sure if that would turn into a good or bad marketing strategy.

Moms And Social Media

I think that the healthier options for kids is a great idea for McDonald’s. I think that most companies can work on their social media pages so that they target the parents a little more because the parents are the ones spending money anyway.

I think it makes since that mothers with children under the age of five are more likely to use social media than other mothers.  If you think about the ages of mothers with children under five are about 18-27 of age.  Of course they are going to use social media more than older woman.  I think that The Georgia Aquarium does target mothers because if it is your birthday than you get free admission.  This makes it easier to take their kids on birthdays.  Then on their Facebook page they usually ask to share their family pictures whether it is a contest or just want some interactions on their pages.  That attracts mothers to their social media pages.

I love Halloween. This year I only carved a pumpkin. I did not dress up. But when I was a kid my favorite costume was Baby Bop. I slept in that costume for days. I live near Young Harris College so we would go to the dorm rooms and trick or treat. That was sort of a tradition so it was neat to see it the college all decorated. My next favorite costume was Meg from Hercules. I was her two years in a row. My mom would always make out Halloween costumes we never bought them. It was fun always watching her make them we would sit by her sewing machine and watch the costumes come together. That is my best memory about Halloween.
